OAKLAND ADVISORY: "GREEN JOBS NOW" CONCERT AND RALLY

Sep 22, 2008Oakland, CA – Calling for a transition to a clean energy economy that will create millions of new jobs and pathways out of poverty, thousands from across the country will participate in the "Green Jobs Now" National Day of action on Saturday, September 27th.
Join the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights for a free concert featuring the East Bay's hottest talent while showcasing solutions for youth in the green economy. Enjoy an afternoon of live music, free food, green-collar job demonstrations and putting out the call for Green Jobs Now! Attendees will be urged to register to vote and sign a petition demanding elected officials invest in green jobs and a Clean Energy Corps to Repower America.
